Trevor Monaghan is an accredited Business Valuation Specialist under Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) with extensive experience in providing both technical and practical advice to business owners and the courts across all industries and locations. Trevor specialises in business valuations, forensic financial analysis, taxation advice and strategic planning. He is often called upon to prepare expert reports for matters requiring expertise in business valuations, financial analysis and taxation. He has written more than 1000 independent business valuation and forensic reports for various jurisdictions and has been cross-examined in various court jurisdictions.
His expert work has been predominantly for family law purposes due to the high demand but he has also regularly prepared reports for commercial litigation and many other purposes. In addition to expert work requiring affidavits or court attendance, Trevor also prepares numerous independent reports and forensic work for mediation of disputes, taxation, mergers and acquisitions.
Trevor also provides technical and practical seminars to solicitors in relation to business valuations and forensic accounting topics. Mark Ross joined Climax Valuations and Forensics in early 2026 as a senior member of the valuations and forensics team. A highly credentialled business valuation and forensic accounting specialist, Mark brings an exceptional depth of expertise to the firm and works directly alongside principal valuer Trevor Monaghan on all complex matters. His appointment represents a significant strengthening of the firm’s ability to take on complex, high-stakes engagements across all valuation and forensic disciplines.
Mark holds the designation of Business Valuation Specialist with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). He is also a Registered Company Auditor (ASIC) and Registered Tax Agent (TPB), a rare combination of credentials that gives him an unusually broad and integrated technical foundation. Few practitioners hold all three designations simultaneously, and it is this breadth that enables Mark to approach valuation and forensic matters with a level of rigour and commercial insight that goes well beyond the numbers. He holds a Bachelor of Business with majors in Accounting and Finance, and has built his career across audit and assurance, and taxation and advisory engagements, before channelling that diverse experience into his specialist focus on business valuation and forensic accounting.
